We’re a group of smart, experienced professionals eager to help.

Amy Collins | Founder & CEO

Amy is an entrepreneur on a mission to help community lenders maximize their impact and efficiency. With nearly 15 years of experience, her core competency is turning chaotic financial data into clear, actionable insight so that leaders can make smart credit decisions. She has worn nearly every hat in a CDFI lending department: loan officer, underwriter, team manager, consultant, and executive. This diverse experience has equipped her to design innovative loan products, write smart credit policies, develop powerful supportive tools, and build high-performing loan funds from the ground up. Whether coaching loan officers on pipeline management or guiding leadership through strategic challenges, she brings a holistic approach to community lending.

Before starting The Olea Group, Amy gained experience in financial analysis and community development at Accion in Chicago, where she worked as an underwriter, loan officer, and lending team trainer. She was formerly one of the founding employees at Sé Más Microfinanzas in Punta de Mita, Mexico, where she oversaw loan product design and social impact measurement.

Amy has a master’s degree in Business Analytics from the University of Notre Dame and a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Hope College. She has been published in the journal of Cost Management, speaks Spanish, and is both Quickbooks and Xero Advisor Certified. Amy and her family live in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
